Oakland Summer School’s Winter Gathering

Presenters include Shane Bauer, whose book “American Prison” was recently named one of The New York Times’ ten-best books of the year; Tongo Eisen-Martin, recipient of the 2018 American Book Award for his book Heaven is All Goodbyes; Wendy Trevino, whose book Cruel Fiction was selected as one of Artforum’s best books of 2018; and Sadie Barnette, whose art has been featured in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Guardian, and many other publications.
