Once and Future Band
A representative of Bay Area neo-psychedelia with a prog slant, Once & Future Band is a project by Joel Robinow (vocals/guitar/keyboards), Eli Eckert (bass/guitar/vocals), and Raj Ojha (drums/programming). The friends had already played together in several other psych-rock outfits, including Drunk Horse, East Bay Grease, and Howlin Rain. A mash of virtuosic rock, Pink Floyd-type psychedelia, and glittery prog pop, their eponymous debut arrived via John Dwyer’s Castle Face Records in early 2017.
