WHAT CANNOT BE HEARD CAN BE AMPLIFIED

Join us on Thursday 1.31.19 to elevate the feminine in music and reverberate our message within the community. Come learn, play, and dance with us as education meets art for a truly unique experience!
This 2-part event includes:

◆ Show + Party: 10pm-2AM
▃▅▇█▓ Part 1: The BASSics, A FREE MUSIC WORKSHOP ▓█▇▅▃
Who out there wants to learn how to DJ? Who is interested in learning basic music theory in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere?
In this hands-on 3-hour workshop, Beat Kitty, Iggy, and Anna Morgan will cover the basics of song structure, music theory, and teach you how to mix. From vinyl demonstrations to mixing on Traktor and CDJs, we’ll explore the musical depths and realms of learning how to DJ!
This workshop is for female and femme-identifying beings. If you do not fall into this category, you will not be turned away, but be mindful of its intention and focus.
Workshop space is limited. Register to reserve your spot: (Link Coming Soon!)
▃▅▇█▓ PART 2: BOUNCE WITH US ▓█▇▅▃
Join us for a proper dance party as we celebrate some of our favorite artists in bass music. All are welcome!
Your selectors for the evening:
⫸⫸ NAUGHTY PRINCESS
♢—- Naughty Princess weaves beautiful melodies and sexy bass beats into a journey to inspire that dance floor heat. Jasmine Fraser grew up with the influence of traditional Indian music, and was inspired by intricate Tabla beats and soaring vocals. Being part of the electronic music scene in Melbourne when it took off, her passion for dance was ignited. Relocating to San Francisco in 2009 brought her into the West Coast Bass scene of Dubstep, Trap and 808.
♢—- Her sets range from beautiful downtempo soundscapes to fun eclectic beats and on to searing late-night bass-drops to make the dance-floor go wild. The driving bass is overlaid with a diverse range of beats, tasty trap blending into hip hop, urban styles and gangsta grooves, with melodies and lyrics soaring through it all bringing the sacred, the saucy and the sublime.
♢—- Naughty Princess has played at top events and festivals including Oregon Eclipse, Lightning in a Bottle, Northern Nights Festival, Enchanted Forest Gathering, One Love Festival, How Weird Street Fair, Abundance LA, Belasco Theatre LA, Dirty Beetles Black & Gold Ball, Ecstatic Dance, Soundpieces Afterburn, Wormhole and all over Burning Man including Camp Questionmark and Abraxas Art Car.
⫸⫸ BEAT KITTY
♢—- Amanda Bo, aka Beat Kitty, is cutting up the East Coast bass scene with her own brand of dancefloor dirt – seamlessly transitioning from upbeat and fun to freaky and filthy in the blink of an eye.
♢—- Catch her at Resonate for that perfect blend of bass and badassery to keep your body moving. This full spectrum selectress has been known to melt brains and literally light fires on dancefloors. She consistently escapes genre norms, with global and timeless sounds blending perfectly with heavier, grimier bass lines. Her nightly arsenal of Halftime, leftfield bass, trap, and dnb (with the occasional hip-hop throw-back) will leave you breathless and wanting more.
♢—- As a classically-trained singer and flautist who’s a certified metal-head, her varied influences are used liberally in curating innovative and exciting soundscapes. After releasing 4 original tracks and a music video in 2018, you can expect to see many more productions and straight-up fire as she continues to experiment with international influences and bass-driven tones.
♢—- IGGY is passionate about music and expression through dance. Her crates of music expand across genres from reggae, trip/hip-hop, funk, electro, disco, house, breaks, bass and ambient. For over 20 years, and forever more, her DJ sets connect people through music with positive, groovy vibes.

⫸⫸ Hekkate – Bry Didyum
♢—- Hailing from the East coast, Hekkate rises from the urban sprawl to share glitched out and abstracted images of their underworld. Using bright clashing colors and half-recognizable forms, their visuals add to the story being told through the music.
